Hours: Castle grounds: 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 4:00 PM). Ninomaru Palace: 8:45 AM to 4:10 PM. Honmaru-goten Palace: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM (prior reservations required). Closed days for the castle grounds are December 29-31. The Ninomaru Palace is closed every Tuesday in January, July, August, and December, and from December 26 to January 3. If a Tuesday is a national holiday, the palace closes the following day instead.
